If tomorrow was my last day on earth, I'd be fine with it. And not only would I be fine with it, I would be happy with it. And ultimately, I truly believe that once you adopt this mindset of being okay with tomorrow being your last day ever, puts you on the road to being your most happy and most successful self.

Was that intro scary? Raise your hand if you were scared. I know, I know, we were all scared.

I'm fine, I'm fine, guys, I'm fine. The alarming title and alarming intro was seriously truth. And we'll get into why I think this, why I feel this, and why I'm trying to really feel it more.

And also why I really think that having this mindset of if tomorrow I cease to exist, I think that mindset can lead us to greatness. Welcome back to Selfish, you guys. So today, I really had no clue.

I, like, sorry, I had zero idea what to film. Sunday has a cool video. And I mean, Sunday has a cool episode, video if you're watching on YouTube.

Although I think I'm adding the video to Spotify. Let me know if that's working. Sunday's gonna be cool.

My friend Alana suggested the theme for Sunday. Things are getting like really good. But for the Thursday episode, I was like, hi, like wait, what's going on?

Quite literally, had no time to research anything because fun fact, I'm in the process of looking for an apartment because once I graduate, I can no longer live on campus. Is that really cool? So that's actually been like a big process.

Yeah. And then I'm also, well, I don't wanna speak about all the social media stuff I'm planning because I feel like it's, I don't wanna give away my secrets because I just, I want them to be, I want to curate, basically I am planning like a video series for YouTube, and I wanna, on top of the podcast, and I wanna really plan it out well so that it's just like a really good time. For all of us, anyways, I have my coffee here today.

Go get yourselves a drink, grab your girls, grab your florals, you know the routine. If the mic just caught the growling in my stomach, no. Guys, I'll be right back.

I have to go get a snack.

This could get really bad audio-wise. Anyways, I got some Chicago Mix popcorn.

You guys like ASMR?

I'm sorry, I'm so starvaceous. Like, this was a need. And get your snack, get your drink.

Okay, who's excited to finally get into this? Because I know you're curious, because the title's like really weird and crazy and scary. If tomorrow was my last day on earth, my last day living, my last day living on earth, you know what I mean?

Because if you pass, then your body still remains on earth. I would be okay with it, because I truly feel that I'm living a life where I'm so content and happy and pursuing things that I love and have great friendships and connections, and I'm really enjoying the human experience on a day-to-day basis. So much to the point where, if it was all to go away tomorrow, I will have little to no regrets.

I won't feel like I missed out on anything. I won't feel like I didn't pursue this one thing because I was scared or because I didn't know what people would think about it, or I didn't know how I could make it happen. I want to get to the point where, and I'm not quite there yet.

And so, you know, tomorrow's a little soon, like I would like to get a good amount of things done before I do depart, obviously. But I really do think that getting into that flow of like, okay, we're gonna work on all these things that we love and really put yourself into your passions and your biggest dreams, no matter what it is, no matter how crazy it is, or how hard it seems to achieve, how much work it would take to get there. You know, if you have even no clue how you're gonna achieve your dream, and your dream could be anything, your dream could be becoming a content creator or influencer.

If that's your dream, then start posting, start doing stuff, and I'll have more, I think more Thursday episodes focused on that, because I do think that's, for a lot of people, what their dream life is, is, you know, going into the entertainment industry. And same, I wanna, on top of influencing, I wanna pursue acting and singing and songwriting, and I'm not quite there yet, which is why, you know, tomorrow is hasty. There are things that I would like to start doing.

But once you do start that, and you live as if tomorrow is your last day, as if today is your last day, if you were to get a message, or I don't know how it would work, like, you'd get an email from the afterlife. It's like the Grim Reaper just shows up, and like, you've been served. I don't really know how it would work.

But anyways, you get this message from the afterlife being like, you expire, your life expires in however many days, whatever. How would you spend it? How would you react?

More so, would you be sad? Well, yeah, I'd be pretty sad. Like, that's high, obviously.

If my life was done, bye. I do wanna preface and say, this is not coming from a place of, I am done, I'm done. You know what I mean?

It's not at all that. I want to live as long as possible because I want to enjoy this amazing life that I'm trying to create. All I'm trying to say is that, to get to that life that you're trying to create, you really need to immerse yourself in to it, and start doing things and start taking actions so that you don't regret it.

When you do, inevitably reach the end of your life, which you never know when that could be. I'm not trying to fear monger and say, oh my god, these freak accidents are gonna happen, whatever, but you just never know. And let's say you do live to 100, amazing, and you still never pursued any of your dreams or any of your passions, or reached out to that person that you really wanted to form a connection with, or apologized to that person that you didn't treat very nicely, or go to this one place that you've always wanted to visit.

You most likely will feel regret, because there were so many chances for you to do that. Eventually, after adopting this mindset, and actively working towards all the things that you wanna do, and trying to live that regret-free life, you will be in the place where you are literally living out the best-case-scenario life that you ever could, because you're not afraid anymore. You're not afraid to pursue it, because in your head, it could all go away at any instant.

And so you wanna enjoy life. You wanna enjoy what you're doing. I feel like what I'm saying is really repetitive, but that's the point.

It's almost that simple that you need to put everything you got into making your dream life, whatever it may be, happen. So that if tomorrow, it is your last day, well, that's fine. Because you knew that till the very end, you're doing everything you could to make yourself the happiest, most successful, most content person that you could be.

Again, I'm not there yet, because also, I'm just so curious. I need to do 4,000 different things before I leave. And even after that, I wanna enjoy it.

We spend so much time creating this dream life. I keep saying dream life, because that's what it is. Your best life, whatever you wanna call it, reaching your goals, everything like that.

We spend a lot of time trying to achieve that, but obviously, I wanna enjoy it too. But then again, that's also a good reason to enjoy the process of working on your goals. Because the end goal, that's one thing, but actually, guys, my stomach growls every four or five seconds of summer.

If it's caught on mic, I'm editing that out. Sorry, I am. Enjoy the journey, I think is what I was saying.

Maybe we do get to a point where we are trying, trying, trying to reach our goals, and maybe something happened where they just couldn't happen, or it was the wrong time for it to happen, or we just fell out of love with whatever project, or passion, or interest, or job, or person that we were working on. Well, you could say, one way to look at it is, you are regretful for wasting your time. Well, I think that really sucks because you spend a lot of time on that, and I think it built your character up.

You know, you develop skills. Any skill you get is voluble, duh. A way to combat that and that regret is, if you do feel it, is to really live in the present and enjoy the journey.

No matter what the destination is, I've worked on things where the end goal isn't even what I thought it would be. Take university, for example, for the longest time, like in high school, like, hi, I was a tryhard. Yeah, I'll be the first to admit.

Beyond tryhard, I was one of those. No, guys, hi. So this is actually really vulnerable of me.

I used to be one of those people, and they're the worst. You know it's the worst. Okay, you're on the edge of your seat?

Yeah, me too. The type of person who would overly study for an exam, and then tell everyone, like, I'm so scared. Like, I just, I know I failed that.

And then I would get like a 98. Yeah, punch me in the fricking tutor. Um, not like that anymore.

I barely passed my classes. I actually took math four times. Intro math, hi, how are ya?

So, yeah, is that cool? Yeah. Anyways, growth.

Hi, character growth. What's up? What was I trying to say?

Oh, so anyways, try hard whatever got into university and had these big academic goals. I was like, oh my God, I'm gonna go to med school. I'm gonna go to law school.

At one point, it's so cringe. I was telling people like, yeah, I'm pre-law, like I'm pre-med. Hi, that doesn't exist in Canada.

I think there's one school where there's a fast track to med school, but anyways, doesn't really matter. It's cringe. I was saying that.

Look at me now. I am barely gonna use my degree once I graduate next month. I'm doing social media and I don't regret it at all.

Why? Because I enjoyed my university journey. I enjoyed making friendships, long lasting friendships.

I've made like sisters. I've made sisters is crazy. I've found sisters.

You know what I mean? Like true family. You know, made connections.

I've had incredible opportunities that I would never have foreseen prior to coming to university. Even though the end goal is not me going to law school or med school, as I once thought, I'm still graduating university, which I am actually very proud of myself for that. That alone is, that's awesome.

I could have dropped out when I realized that I didn't really want to take the academic path, but I didn't. Hi. Oh my God, wait, I never really thought about that.

Patting myself on the back. But truly, truly, truly, this is all to say, my end destination is so much different now than what I thought it was going to be. But I have no regrets because I love where it brought me.

This is so aligned with my true, true vibe. Like, guys, when I tell you I was just watching yesterday videos of me at nine years old vlogging, those videos went nowhere. It's not like I posted them.

I just really, truly wanted to be an influencer so bad that I've literally been vlogging since I was a little kid. And it's cool. Yeah, you never know where life's gonna take you.

There's a really long-winded way of saying that, but you never know where it's gonna take you. And I really think a good way... Sorry, so tangent, but just please bear with me before I get back on track.

I really think that passions you had as a kid can find their way back to you as an adult, and could be, at times, some of your truest passions and biggest dreams. And even if it's not, I think it'll always find you. If something's really meant for you, it will find its way to you again.

It wouldn't just be on your mind all the time if it's not something you wanted. Enjoy the journey. University was great.

I loved it. I loved my time. I...

even studying, it was awesome. So no matter what you're working on, what you're working towards, and whatever, don't be afraid if your dreams change, or your goal shifts a little bit, or completely. You will not be wasting anything.

You're not wasting time. You're only wasting time and wasting energy if you take nothing from that experience. And that's all about your mindset.

You gotta get it in your head that everything that happens is not happening against you. It's happening for you. And you can take the good of every situation, leave behind the bad.

Learn from those mistakes, or learn from bad experiences. Don't let them define you. Because you're...

you're what? You're awesome. And you can truly achieve whatever you want.

Just enjoy it. Enjoy the whole process. And eventually, we'll get to a point where we are so wildly happy and wildly successful, because of our new mindset of not being afraid to chase our dreams and fearlessly go after what we want, because we know it can all go away at any moment.

We will so be in that era of our life, that if tomorrow was our last day on Earth, we'd be fine with it. And that's the episode for you guys. I know this was, you know, could have been heavy at times, especially the subject matter of, you know, maybe tomorrow could be the last day.

Yeah, let me just restate that I love life, and I think we all should love life. It's such a blessing to be here. And, you know, we owe it to ourselves to chase our biggest dreams and be happy for as long as we live.

But if you or anyone you know are contemplating self-exiting, then don't be afraid to ask for help or get help. I'll have resources in the description on YouTube as well as the description on whatever podcast app you're listening. I'll see you guys Sunday.

Sunday's episode is going to be all about hobbies and the scientific backing of why hobbies are important. And you know, some hobby ideas, but like you can find hobby ideas. If that's what you're listening to the episode for, then that's amazing.

But you know, like anyways, hobbies are good. Don't be afraid of them. You don't have to be a workhorse all damn day.

Thank you so much for listening. I love you so, so much. Goodbye.
